Design Focused Beginnings
Our founder and Managing Director, Dan Butler, started the company in May 2005 as Dan Butler Graphic Design.
In the early days, our focus was largely on design, and we were heavily involved in the production of a monthly magazine (Tv-Bay/KitPlus), with Dan as the lead designer.
Investment in Machinery
Over the years, we developed and invested in sign-making technology and machinery, which led to a shift in our business focus. This prompted us to change our name to Dan Butler Signs.
We invested in a wide-format printer, roll-to-roll laminator, flat-bed laminator, CAD plotter & CNC router, and moved into a larger workshop. We began undertaking signage projects and delivering impressive results to our clients.
Specialist Workforce
In recognition of our growth and the depth of talent in our team, in November 2018 we rebranded to Butler Signs, refreshing our logo in the process. We grew our workforce, bringing in specialist installers and fabricators, and invested in new equipment and vehicles to increase our capacity.
We experienced great success in the retail sector, working on nationwide signage rollouts for companies such as Hamleys.
Continued Growth
We are now proud to specialise in four distinct sectors: Construction, Education, Property & Retail. In recognition of this, we have updated our brand and website. Our company is still expanding, and we continue to invest in new equipment to help us better service our clients in these sectors.
