Transforming Dewhurst Group's HQ with Exceptional Corporate Signage
The Brief
Dewhurst Group, a leading manufacturing company, approached Butler to revamp their signage following a recent rebrand. With a rich history and a new brand identity, Dewhurst aimed to infuse their headquarters with personality while making it easier for visitors to locate their premises.
The project encompassed both external and internal signage, each with unique requirements.
“We mounted the letters on locators, providing a sleek, elevated appearance against the silver cladding of the building...”
External Built-Up Logo
During our initial survey of Dewhurst’s headquarters, we identified a prime location for external signage: a spacious area above the entrance doors. This strategic placement ensured maximum visibility, unobstructed by goods vehicles, and could be seen from across the expansive industrial estate.
To create a lasting impact, we opted for large built-up letters fabricated from durable stainless steel. These letters were meticulously powder-coated to match Dewhurst’s Pantone colours, aligning seamlessly with their brand guidelines. To enhance the signage’s visual appeal, we mounted the letters on locators, providing a sleek, elevated appearance against the silver cladding of the building.
Installation was a precision operation, executed at height using a MEWP (Mobile Elevating Work Platform) with the aid of a digitally printed template.
Internal Wallpaper Vinyl
Within Dewhurst’s office spaces, we recognised the need to inject personality and vitality.
Blank walls offered a canvas for brand imagery to flourish. To make a striking impression on visitors, a world map showcasing the locations of Dewhurst subsidiaries was chosen, serving as a captivating focal point at the top of the staircase.
In the office space itself, a large-scale logo took centre stage. Our production team matched Pantone colours, and utilised high-tack vinyl with a matt laminate finish to eliminate internal light reflections and ensure optimal clarity and longevity.
Final Touches: Window Frost and Brushed Plaques
To fulfil both practical and aesthetic needs, we addressed window manifestations for entrance doors and internal glass partitions. Rather than opting for standard dots or circles, we seized the opportunity to introduce Dewhurst’s branding elements, incorporating their logo and distinctive chevron shapes.
Further enhancing the corporate atmosphere, we crafted wayfinding panels using brushed aluminium, seamlessly mounted with hidden fixings. These plaques not only served a functional purpose but also added an element of sophistication to Dewhurst’s workspace.
Butler’s collaboration with Dewhurst Group resulted in a transformation that perfectly encapsulated the essence of their rebranding. The new signage not only reflects Dewhurst’s status as an industry leader but also adds character and vibrancy to their corporate headquarters.
