Bespoke Wayfinding & Reception Signage Freixenet Copestick
The Brief
Freixenet Copestick, a leading company in their industry, faced a common challenge that many businesses face – clients and members of the public struggling to find their office. Additionally, the reception area lacked impact and failed to make a lasting impression on visitors. This is where Butler stepped in to offer their full-service approach.
Freixenet produces and sells sparkling wines, also known as cava. It was founded in 1914 and is one of the largest producers of cava in the world, exporting its products to more than 150 countries.
Design & Consultation
Butler’s expert team conducted a thorough survey of the office and entrance to determine the best solution for the wayfinding sign. They identified the most suitable position and specified a post-mounted sign, allowing it to free-stand on the ground by the road.
The team also surveyed the reception area and determined that a halo/rear-illuminated logo positioned behind the reception desk would best suit the space and create the most impact.

Production
The post-mounted sign was manufactured using square aluminium posts, which were powder-coated for a modern, long-lasting finish. The sign tray was suspended between the posts, finished in a sleek, bare aluminium finish.
The flat cut logo was mounted on locators to the face of the tray, standing away from it, creating depth and eye-catching detail.
The serifs of the logo were too fine to manufacture as a traditional built-up and halo-illuminated logo. To overcome this challenge, we decided to manufacture a false wall and produce the logo using push-through 30mm opal acrylic, with a block-out vinyl print to the face. This allowed them to achieve the fine detail in the logo and create a stunning impact in the reception area.

The End Result
The post-mounted sign was installed after the ground was scanned for hidden services, ensuring its stability and longevity. The reception sign’s false wall was mounted on a timber batten frame, concealing the LED assembly and cables.
The end result is a post-mounted sign that solves wayfinding issues and a reception sign that leaves a lasting impression on clients and members of the public.
Butler’s full-service approach to signage provides a seamless and stress-free experience for their clients.
