Making An Entrance
Grand Entrance Signage
When Herongate Club approached Butler, the entrance lacked impact and did not reflect the brand’s identity. However, the large windows above the entrance presented a unique opportunity for Butler to create a stunning and highly visible entrance.
Our team conducted a survey of the site to identify the best solution for the entrance signage. We specified perforated window vinyl with bold print, allowing visitors to see outside from inside the building, while still creating a bold and impactful entrance sign. We also took advantage of the blank space on the canopy, using flat cut letters on locators to further enhance the entrance’s impact.
Reception Area Branding
The reception area of Herongate Club had a dated look and feel that did not reflect the energetic nature of the facility. To transform this space, our team worked closely with Herongate to introduce brand colours into the area.
We supplied several design concepts, and the client chose to upcycle existing furniture, such as the reception desk and dividing wall, by wrapping it with printed colour-matched vinyl. The result was a transformed reception area that now reflects the brand’s identity and energy.
Privacy & Wayfinding
Gym Frosting & Privacy Film
Herongate Club’s building featured large glass panels separating the gym, swimming pool, training rooms, and weight rooms, giving the space a modern look but lacking privacy. To address this issue, Butler provided a creative solution that introduced privacy without ruining the interior design.
We applied striking geometric frost using two different media types with varying opacity to the gym, providing privacy while still maintaining the modern look of the space.
We also achieved privacy for the swimming pool with more traditional frost panelling and contour-cut logo detail.
Additionally, we applied one-way blackout tint to the lifeguard station, ensuring members feel secure and unobserved while swimming.
Cohesive Wayfinding
Finally, Herongate Club’s wayfinding signage needed updating to match the new signage and refreshed brand. Butler’s designers came up with a signage family that could be applied to all areas, including health and safety signage, parking signage, and directional signage.
The result was a cohesive and consistent wayfinding solution that enhanced the overall experience of the facility.
