CH8 Chevrons

We use the highest grade materials to ensure your vehicle will remain visible for years to come
Chapter 8 Chevrons, also known as “Chapter 8 markings,” are reflective markings used to enhance the visibility of vehicles on the road. They are typically used on vehicles that are involved in the maintenance, construction, or emergency response sectors, such as highway maintenance vehicles, utility vehicles, and ambulances.
There are several different types of Chapter 8 Chevrons available, including standard chevrons, reverse chevrons, and diagonal chevrons. Standard chevrons are the most common type and consist of two or more alternating bands of retroreflective material arranged in a V-shape. Reverse chevrons are similar to standard chevrons but are placed in the opposite direction, with the point of the V facing upwards. Diagonal chevrons are angled at 45 degrees and are often used in combination with standard or reverse chevrons.
Chapter 8 Chevrons are required for vehicles that are likely to be involved in slow-moving or stationary operations on the road, such as highway maintenance, utility work, and emergency response. They are designed to improve the visibility of these vehicles to other road users, helping to reduce the risk of accidents and improve safety on the roads.
In addition to being required by law in many countries, Chapter 8 Chevrons can also be used as a best practice in any situation where a vehicle may be operating in close proximity to other road users. This includes delivery trucks, school buses, and other vehicles that may be involved in slow-moving or stationary operations on the road.
These chevrons are available as vinyl and magnetic kits. Vinyl Chapter 8 markings are made of a thin, flexible film of polyvinyl chloride (PVC), while magnetic Chapter 8 markings are made of a flexible magnetic material.
Vinyl Chapter 8 markings are applied to the exterior of a vehicle using an adhesive backing, while magnetic Chapter 8 markings stick to the bodywork. This allows magnetic Chapter 8 markings to be easily removed and repositioned as needed, while vinyl Chapter 8 markings are more permanent.
Chapter 8 Chevrons are an important safety feature that helps to improve the visibility of vehicles on the road and reduce the risk of accidents. Whether you are a fleet manager, a public sector employee, or a private contractor, it is important to ensure that your vehicles are equipped with the proper reflective markings to keep your operations safe and compliant.
